Our generous Boomer Shed members transformed some old pallets into new planters for Pacific Vision Aotearoa.
The pallets were found dumped on the side of the road in an industrial area. The brief was to use the pallets efficiently, utilising as much of the wood as possible to minimise waste. They're even collapsible to fit in the boot of a car! We reckon the Boomers nailed it (pun intended).
These planters will be used to demonstrate upcycling as a part of Pacific Vision Aotearoa's initiative to teach the public and schools sustainable ways to reuse rubbish.
Rather than sending it to landfill, we can all get creative to keep materials in use as long as possible by reusing and upcycling.
