Eye on Nature School Days
Monday 16 - Thursday 19 March 2026 | Auckland Botanic Gardens
Eye on Nature School Days is the Beautification Trust's annual environmental education event for South and East Auckland primary schools.
This free event empowers tamariki to become environmental heroes of the future, with hands-on activities and engaging lessons to connect with te taiao and learn how to be more sustainable in everyday life.
Over the course of four days, nearly 1,500 students get stuck in with interactive lessons and hands-on learning experiences delivered by our expert programme partners.

Eye on Nature 2026 Theme – Grow Together
Join us this year as we explore our theme, "Grow Together".
Grow Together is all about how we can help nature by working as a team. When we connect with our local community, we can make an even bigger difference for the environment. In a world where it can be easy to feel separate or on our own, working together to look after the environment has never been more important.
By sharing ideas, helping each other, and taking action as a group, we can protect the places we love and create a healthier future for everyone.
We will be asking questions like:
-
Why is working with my community important for looking after nature?
-
What are the ways my community can take action for nature?
-
How can I support my community to look after the environment?
