Adopt a Park
The Beautification Trust, in partnership with Auckland Council Parks, delivers conservation activities to primary and secondary school ākonga in South Auckland, through place-based learning.
School groups take ownership of their local park and with our team, learn through interactive experience on site and participate in environmental activities such as; planting, animal pest monitoring, identification and eradication of pest weeds, collecting litter and water quality monitoring.
Schools are encouraged to engage with this programme throughout the school year, offering great opportunities to learn about seasonal environmental indicators.
