Clayton Park Primary School planting day

We recently joined park ranger Kara and Clayton Park Primary teachers and students to plant 500 plants on the corner of Myers Road and Great South Road, Manurewa.

Clayton Park Primary donated mature flax plants to be rehomed in this urban space, along with Manuka and Carex grasses from Auckland Parks. Native plants promote biodiversity and stewardship of our natural heritage.

We can all do our bit to look after our local environment. If you want to organise your own environmental or beautification project, you can borrow the tools you need free of charge from our Community Tool Library, apply for funding from our Tiaki Fund and get in touch for support and advice.
