Beautification Trust Marks 25-year Anniversary with Special Celebration
Updated: 10 minutes ago

Last Wednesday, we marked our 25-year anniversary with a special morning tea celebration. We were so moved by the turnout and the chance to reflect on 25 years of mahi alongside so many people who have made it possible, including our founding Chair, Reverend Mark Beale, who joined us to share his memories of the early days.
The morning kicked off with a video recounting 25 years of history, followed by reflections from people who have been with us since the very beginning, and from those who have watched the organisation grow and change over the years.
After our AGM resolutions, we headed to the front of the site to plant a tiitoki tree, which will grow alongside the Trust for the next 25 years.
Guests also had the chance to add a leaf to our celebration tree and browse our time capsule, both handcrafted by the talented members of our Boomer Shed. The time capsule will be kept safe on site and opened at our 50th anniversary in 2051.

To everyone who has been part of this journey over the last 25 years, thank you so much. We could not have come this far without the thousands of volunteers, staff, Trustees, funders, sponsors, partners and supporters who believed in our kaupapa and supported us along the way.
Here's to the next 25 years!
Hot off the press for our guests to take home was our 2025/26 Annual Report, reflecting on the past year and a look at what's ahead, including an overview of our new 5-year strategic plan.
