On Saturday 26th June we celebrated the new mural at Leabank Park with members of the community and the Manurewa Rugby League Football & Sports Club. The mural was blessed by Matua Rangi McLean from the Manurewa Local Board.
The Manurewa-based artist, Rangi Matthews, incorporated the Marlins Club colours, V shape of the jersey, key words suggested by local people as well as kowhaiwhai patterns that represent the club and the community. Thank you to Rangi for your mahi on this beautiful artwork to represent and inspire the community!
