About the Event
Mushroomate will be running the class in our Creator Space, It’s so easy to get started!
This is an excellent course for anyone who wants to get into mushroom growing. You don’t need any previous experience in order to start.
This class will review the basics of understanding the cultivation of New Zealand Native Oyster mushrooms, cold lime pasteurisation methods, how to choose the right substrate, and different size reusable containers. Have some fun and take home your completed mini mushroom farm in a 4L bucket.
Please bring a snack and drinking water, weatherproof gear, and closed shoes. Low-tech mushroom cultivation is directed more towards indoor and outdoor techniques, we will also talk about easy methods that people can utilize in smaller spaces.
Here is how the class will run:
- The introduction to Growing Oyster Mushrooms
- How to Plan the Space for Growing
- Easy Mushroom Kit Care Routines
- Guide to Fruiting Conditions
- Best Time to Harvest
- How to Keep Mushrooms Fresh
Courses like this don’t come around too often, and we currently have limited space to ensure a good learning opportunity for each participant, so take advantage of this event!
