About the Event

Join us for a relaxed, drop-in session and learn how small actions at home can protect gardens, properties, and native wildlife.

This event is open to Drury and surrounding communities—whether you live in town, on a lifestyle block, or rurally. Learn about why predator control matters and how pests like rats and possums impact our homes, gardens, and native species.

Friendly experts will be on hand throughout the session to share practical advice, demonstrate trapping and baiting tools, and help you choose the right approach for your property. You’ll be able to take home predator control materials so you can get started right away, with guidance on how to use them safely and effectively.

The event is family-friendly, with displays and activities for kids to enjoy—so bring your mini eco-warriors along too.

A little bit of effort in our own backyards can achieve a lot.

Delivered by Te Ara Hīkoi (Predator Free Franklin) in collaboration with The Beautification Trust, with support from the Papakura and Franklin Local Boards.
