Join Sandy from The ReCreators at the Beautification Trust to learn the various skills and crafts of Furniture Upcycling. Modern painting techniques, old restoration and upholstery 101 will be covered. Â
You will get to bring in your own projects to work on over the 4 week period. Materials and tools will be provided to showcase a shared makerspace economy.
Week 1: Learn various upcycle painting techniques on off-cuts to gain confidence and playfulness around design. Discuss products and tools required for furniture upcycling.
Week 2-4: Bring in your furniture week by week to upcycle or restore.
Please wear old clothes and bring a water bottle & snacks.
Time:Â 12.30-4.30pm
Day:Â Saturdays
Dates: July 31, August 7, August 21, August 28 (note: there is no class on 14 August)
Cost:Â $50 for all sessions
