About the Event
Join Conservation Volunteers NZ to help clear huge amounts of rubbish from Trimdon Reserve in Randwick Park.
Trimdon Reserve is a long stretch of stream-side reserve that has potential to be a great asset to the community. However, years of illegal dumping of rubbish and household waste has ruined the area. Not only is it an eyesore but this rubbish regularly ends up in the stream where it makes it's way out to the precious Manukau Harbour.
Join the effort to help remove this rubbish and help bring back some community pride to this reserve. Clean up and weed control in the area will take some time, but the aim is to start to replant this stream site in winter 2022.
BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL

This event is part of the Papakura Stream Restoration project which includes tree planting, weed control, fencing and litter clean ups along the Papakura Stream. We'd love all the help we can get.
Meeting Place: Sheriff Street Playground at 9.45am.
Clean up runs from 10am - 12pm followed by a sausage sizzle.
Please note: As this volunteer day is on public land all volunteers and CVNZ staff will need to present their vaccine pass on the day to adhere to Auckland Council's COVID-19 Policy.
